Resonances

RESONANCES is the third in a series of encounters that brings together the international collective Celestial Bodies and artists based in northern Lazio, the region where the town Tuscania is located. Celestial Bodies is a traveling art platform run by seven artists from six countries that meet once a year to share practices with the aim to exchange and connect anew. Dedicated to opening spaces that explore meanings and practices of solidarity, care, empathy, and wonder, Celestial Bodies considers fragility and vulnerability to be core qualities to grow on an individual and community level.

Throughout the 1-week gathering in Tuscania, the participating artists share their individual practices with each other covering a wide range of artistic formats, questions, and methods. Within an experimental environment, this year’s edition is dedicated to facilitating a conversation across practices by means of artistic proposals and the responses they provoke.

RESONANCES is hosted by Vera Stasi, an association for contemporary dance and performing arts based in Tuscania. At the end of the week, on September 3rd, the artists open the doors and invite the local community to an artistic act of being together.
